• What is TVRealm? •

tvrealm is an interactive community called a "landcomm." Basically we host challenges in writing, graphics, and puzzles for members to complete with any TV fandom they desire. You first apply to join tvrealm and you get placed on 1 of 4 teams. You complete the challenges, earn points, and we add up all the points earned by all members on each team. At the end of a season (3 months) we see which team has the most points! Team comms are where you can socialize with other members (but you don't have to), and tvrealm is where you find challenges that are hopefully fun and creative!

• Rules •
1. Be polite to other members, other teams, mods, challenge runners and just everyone. Hostility and attitude towards others is unacceptable. We understand people have different opinions but this should in no way lead to personal attacks on fellow members. Speak to others with respect and you shall receive it. This is an easy going, social, team effort community. If you can't get along with different people/personalities--you don't belong here.

2. DO NOT bash shows or characters. You will be banned. This is your only warning.

3. Participate at least once every two weeks. This isn't to exclude busy people. Its to keep the teams as even with active, participating members as possible. You don't have to do EVERYTHING. Just SOMETHING. And I always notify members before I cut them out of the community. Please, if you know you can't stay at the community or you need a hiatus notify us here.

4. Follow Instructions set out on challenge posts. The rules are there for a reason; size limits are to be followed, if a form is provided please us it, and time limits are always to-the-button. If challenge submissions do not follow the rules or if your entry isn't submitted correctly, according to the rules listed, Barney Stinson will eat your points.

5. NO Spoilers. This is a multi-fandom comm. If you post any information spoiling an episode/show within a week of an episode airing, you'll be asked to leave the comm. Other than that, try to be aware that not everyone has seen the oldest shows and maybe keep major spoilers out of entries (like character deaths) OR provide a warning as to what your picspam/fanfiction/entry is spoiling (i.e. "WARNING! Spoilers for season 2 of Fringe).

6. RATINGS!. PG-13 for entries to be voted on. If its a participation only challenge, I don't care as long as you link and warn people.

7. Fandoms that can be used for this community are television shows, tv mini-series, reality tv, and made for tv movies. Unless stated otherwise in the challenge post, ALL your entries must be television related or it will NOT count towards points. Further explanation of what fandoms are not involved in this comm are below in the FAQ.

8. Anything created for challenges should be newly made for that challenge. We ask that you not submit older, previously started/finished fanfics or graphics.

• FAQ •
• WHAT IS TVREALM?
We're inspired after the original land comms like jjverse, scifiland, and many others. We have four teams and everyone participates in various challenges like games, graphics, fanfiction writing, and other mixed bag activities. Users earn points that are accumulated with their team to see which team, at the end of a three month phase (we call it a "season" here), WINS!

• WHAT FANDOMS ARE INVOLVED?
Any television shows, tv mini-series, webisodes (from a tv show i.e. Lost, BSG webisodes)/web-series, or made for tv movies are welcome to be used here. Reality television is fine as well though our challenges won't specifically cater to them. Whether the rules of the challenge states it or not, YOUR ENTRY MUST BE TELEVISION RELATED, or it will be disqualified.

OKAY - TV PROMO images, of actors in character/costume.
OKAY - TV personalities. These are people who aren't necessarily actors/characters but who are defined by hosting their own TV shows. i.e. Oprah, Conan O'Brien, Steven Colbert, SNL casts. But be careful not to crossover our rule of "No actor out of character" pictures. So Conan doing his show is okay, but red carpet stuff--not so much.
OKAY - Non-english/foreign tv shows
OKAY - Television anime shows, television animated shows/cartoons.

NOT ALLOWED - Movies (even if the movie is based off a tv show i.e. Serenity, Star Trek 2009).
NOT ALLOWED - Comic Books (even if the comic book is based off a tv show).
NOT ALLOWED - Video games or printed materials (books/manga/graphic novels--even if based off a tv show).
NOT ALLOWED - Actors out of character (even if the actor(s) are in a TV show). i.e. Actors on the red carpet, actors doing photoshoots as themselves.

•You are in no way restricted to work within the genres defined by your team.

• DO I NEED TO KNOW ALL THE FANDOMS TO JOIN?
Not at all! Most challenges are designed to be completed with you working with ANY tv show you desire. So if you only watch Teen Wolf and ONLY want to complete Teen Wolf stuff with the challenges, that's OKAY!

• I JOINED, NOW WHAT DO I DO?
- Accept all your invites to join your team.
- Check out the open challenges post
- And start participating! Your tvrealm mods, team mods, and fellow team members are always around and willing to help answer any questions and help you in anyway we can!

• HOW DO I ENTER THE CHALLENGES?
Follow the directions at the post. Unless otherwise stated, ALWAYS submit your entry to that post. You will usually reply to your team's thread, with your entry.

• WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS OF ME?
You are encouraged to enter any and all challenges you can. At the bare minimum though, you should enter at least one challenge every two weeks. Should you be inactive for this period of time you will be removed from your team's community. You are more than welcome to re-apply however once you have more free time on your hands.

• WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A SPECIFIC CHALLENGE?
At the first comment to every challenge, a moderator will create a question thread, you will REPLY TO THEIR COMMENT with your question. It may take up to 24 hours to get back to you.

• I'M NOT THE BEST AT SOMETHING, DOES THAT MATTER?
Not at all! While there is occasionally voting, participation is what's most important! It's the effort that counts most, so jump right in!

• I STILL HAVE A QUESTION
Leave us a comment right here! No question/comment is stupid. We are happy to answer anything you have to ask us.

If you are leaving the comm or need to discuss something privately with a mod, please leave a comment at the PAGE•A•MOD post.
