I am extremely impress by the boys' vocals!

heheheheh....I thought I was the only one that was going crazy over this version. XD

Yes. Gorgeous is probably the word to describe this particular performance. It's probably their most difficult ballad to sing coz the key is just so high.

If we watched it together, I reckon we'd be spazzing the whole time..hahaha.. ^^

My all time favourite performance. Especially the way Yoochun belt out his voice. (Am I saying this right?).

Now I'm curious, you empahsized Yunho's strong voice without being in the falsetoo range, so does that mean that people are deemed to be more talented if they can sing higher notes in their chest voice than in falseto?

I've always wondered about this, cuz it seems like an artist would be praised if he/she can sing high 'naturally'.

p.s. do you want a ripped mp3 version of the video? or you have it already ^^

"Yoochun belt out his voice" is the correct way, I think >,<

Urm..well..most guys that I know can't really reach high notes with chest voice, therefore using head-voice / falsetto. With Yunnie singing that note using is chest-voice clearly shows that the boys have probably been having voice lessons to improve their vocals. Notice how Chun's voice has gotten smoother and stronger too?

But singing with chest voice doesn't make you more talented. These are just different type of singing techniques that singers acquire through training and practice. I'm not a singer, therefore, I can't really tell you the technicalities of it.

Any singers out there who'd like to share?

p/s: I already have the mp3 version thank you. ^^

No, you are not the only one completely blown away by the performance. Would you believe I listen to this song/watch this performance almost every single day since it came out? Mainly to watch Yoochun sing that one high note. ^_^

In my blog, I've been persuading people to watch the performance, and all those who viewed it were moved by it. Almost in the same way they were moved by their FITB Proud performance. The power and emotion they gave to this song gave everyone who watched it goosebumps. *_* The acoustic sound suited it perfectly too. This performance will remain one of the best in Tohoshinki's history.

Yes...I so TOTALLY agree that if someone were to ask me to choose between their FITB performance of Proud and SOUL POWER Live performance of LITI, I'd rather get bricked coz it'll be SO hard to choose! That's like asking "Is the heart or the brain more important". XD

it's definitely one of their best (and most difficult) vocal-challenging performance. [I reckon Purple Line's the other one]

Really? I never thought of Purple Line that way. If I would name a third performance that I find amazing (third to PROUD and LITI) it's this acoustic performance of Tonight I watched a few days back (Jae is still injured here, though), because Tonight in itself is a difficult song to perform (LOTS of high-notes) and they must be mindful of their singing techniques there.

Hey Lina! I find it amusing that just as we were discussing FITB PROUD, jesseme@dbsgcom uploaded her rip of the song, here: http://community.livejournal.com/dbsg/2163231.html?view=56860447#t56860447

The rising gods must be pleased. :)

Well...i hvn't really seen a Live version of Tonight before. It's about time that the boys sang their classics like Tonight. Why Purple Line is difficult is coz of the singing and dancing at the same time. And LSM really pushed them to the limit with this challenging song.

Hahahahah...yeah..Proud FITB is something we fans are most definitely proud of.

Aren't we all blown away by the live version of Love in the Ice? ♥

When I first heard the cd version, this song didnt leave a very deep impression, but! when I watch their perf at Soul Power Osaka, I was blown away by THAT note! I would play the the part over and over again to hear it. *goosebumps and shiver*

Perhaps you might have see it, perhaps you have not, thought I shall share the link with you ^^

I personally think Yoochun's high note is more awesome(rawer) here, but that's may be because it's the first video I heard that note *_*

Would it make me pathetic if I'd admit to crying when I first saw the video of this performance? I actually didn't understand the words, but I cried nevertheless. The vocals are just heartbreaking T_T - I am not sure if that's a proper way to describe vocals. *lol* This performance was better than the album version, IMO. I hope I don't get bricked for saying that. I tend to listen to this version more. It is also on repeat. ^__^ I often listen to this song before going to sleep and then putting it on repeat. Basically it's the last thing I hear before I sleep. ^__^

Oh yeah....I watch the video of this version every night before I sleep without fail. That was before Beautiful You PV came out. Now, I watch both videos before I go to bed.

You're absolutely right. This version makes the album version sound so plain. >____< *gets japanese slippers thrown at*

In that case, I'll have slippers thrown at me too. The album version doesn't sound as heartbreaking as the live performance. This, I think, is a complement on the boys. They sound better when they sing live or acapella. What wouldn't do to see them live, even just once.
