Rebuilding my music library

I lost my digital music library last month, which was over 26,000 songs. I've been rebuilding since the new year. So far, I've regained about 3,800 of my old songs and 700 new ones. Just another 22,000 to go. At my current pace, almost all of it will be replaced in 7-8 weeks. But it will probably take longer ( Read more... )

I can send you Dead Love and The Cloud if you need them. I have a bit of john's music as well, and on my computer at my Dad's house I probably have more. I'd email Innes, I bet Out of Sound could hook you up. I also have a lot of their old catalog on CD which I could burn to a data CD and mail to you at some point of you'd like.

AND I use carbonite to back up my computer... it works pretty well, and it automatically back stuff up when your computer is idle.

That's very generous of you, Jenny! It might save you time to create a torrent (or more sensibly, separate torrents for separate bands). If you haven't done it before, there are lots of guides online, e.g. this one. You can skip the step that asks you to upload the torrents to a website, and just email me the .torrent files. That way your friends' music won't be free to download by anyone. It will transfer whenever we're both running our torrent program at the same time.

I do have The Cloud's album, but last time I ripped it onto my computer, a couple songs were corrupted and had a really crunchy fuzzy sound.

Also, Carbonite looks good.
