- The Mods
Settings:
Alternate Universe: No Aliens - we are talking a complete Alien-Free/Torchwood-Free zone.
Alternate Reality: Did Jack fall through the Rift, and his team is now led by Myfanwy? Are Torchwood now the bad guys? Think "Mirror-Verse."
Alternate Canon: Did Tosh and Owen survive Exit Wounds? Did Owen avoid his first death up at the Pharm? Maybe Jack and Ianto found a way to reverse Lisa's cyber conversion and now she's part of the team? If your fic is a rewrite of canon events, then this is the tag for you.
Length:
Drabble: A piece of writing that is 100 words long, exactly.
Ficlet: A piece of writing between 100 and 500 words.
Long-Fic: Anything longer than 1500 words.
Short-Fic: A piece of writing between 500 and 1500 words.
WIP: Work In Progress.
Multi-Part: Many chapters, or perhaps part of an on-going series.
Ratings:
Multiple Ratings: Your fic has no set-in-stone rating. The over-all rating might be R, but there are chapters that are G or PG-13. Betas: You don't mind beta reading all ratings of fic.
Beta:
All-Rounder: A person who doesn't mind beta-ing anything and everything.
Pairing:
Canon-Compliant: Are the pairings in your fic the same as those within the show? Jack and Ianto have a sometimes thing going on, Tosh is loving Owen from the far-side of the Hothouse? Gwen and Rhys are the only "solid" couple within the group and you don't want to spend twenty minutes hunting through to find the pairing specific tags? This is the one for you. Betas: You only want to beta canon-compliant relationships.
Multiple 'Ships: Your fic has a handful of relationships that you're wanting to explore, but there's a fair few of them, and you'll explain in full detail in the body of your message? Simply use this tag in place of multiple individual tags Betas: You are willing to beta any and every ship.
None: Your fic contains no pairings. Betas: You would prefer to beta fic that does not revolve around anyone being in a relationship outside of work.
Genre:
Multiple Categories: Is your fic full of romance, action, angst, comedy and a little bit of smut? This tag will save you a bunch of time, so long as you remember to make sure to include the proper information within the body of your search request. Betas: You will beta all genres.
Region:
Region-Free: You don't mind sending your fic to someone who lives on the other side of the world. Betas: You don't mind beta reading for someone who lives on the opposite side of the world.
