My father use to commute 2 hours each way when my folks lived here. He said the same thing you did. "I don't mind driving, its the time that I miss that bothers me".

my uncle used to have a commute like that. he was a vice pres at merril lynch, in jersey, but he lived on long island. train to subway to train again. sucky.

took me an hour to get home again today. way sucky.
