Rupert Giles to the sound of pounding, at first he thought it was just the drums beating inside his head. That was until he heard a voice outside his window. "Giles! I know you're here, your car's parked outside. Now open this door!" "Oh dear, the Watcher groaned. "Buffy."

Slowly he got out of bed, his back screaming in protest as his Slayer continued to pound on his door. "All right, all right! I'm coming." He yelled as he grabbed his robe and headed downstairs, tying the robe as he went; he opened the door. "Good Morning, Buffy."

"Good morning? I've been knocking on your for an hour and a half, and all you can you say is: 'Good Morning?'" The  Slayer fumed. "Erm, would you care to come in Buffy?" Rupert sheepishly asked. The girl glared at him before she entered the apartment. Once inside with the door closed she stared at the former Watcher. "Giles, have you been drinking?"

"As a matter of fact, yes I did spend a lovely evening with a business associate."

"A business associate?" Buffy echoed. "All right who are they and what did they want?" Rupert tried to hide the smile from his slayer, so he took a deep breath and tried to explain. "Rita owns the Magic Box Buffy, and has decided to sell the shop."

Buffy blushed feeling somewhat foolish for acting like a jealous girlfriend. "Sorry Giles."

The Watcher smiled. "It's all right, Buffy really; it was my fault for giving you that impression."

For a moment Buffy was silent lost in thought, then she said; "Giles, I want to apologize for what I said last week and I probably should apologize to Olivia too."

Nearly spitting out his tea Giles choked. "To Olivia, whatever for? As far as I know you didn't say anything to her."

"Well, not out loud anyway." Buffy muttered. "Giles are you ok?"

"Quite. if you'll excuse me I need to change."

"No problem, I'll just wait in the living room." Buffy said. Giles nodded and went upstairs.

While Giles was changing Buffy skimmed a magazine and debaited whether she should tell her Watcher how she really felt seeing Olivia in *his*shirt. Besides, I did promise to tell him the truth. She frowned. "To hell with this. I'll just go upstairs and tell him.

"Tell me what?"  Giles asked as he came down the stairs. "It's alright, you can sit back down." So Buffy sat down, Giles went to sit next to her. "Now you were saying something?"

"Yeah, I was." Giles waited, knowing it takes Buffy sometime to sort out her thoughts. Buffy took a deep breath.

"Giles the reason I said those mean things to you the other day was because I-I was jealous."

"Jealous? O-Of Olivia?"

"Among others yes."

"Others?" GIles echoed. "Whom, may I ask?" He said with a grin.

Buffy scowled at him. "Are you sure you want to know Giles?"

"Of course Buffy."  He quickly reassured her.

"Well," Buffy said glancing down at her shoes. "Do you remember that day with Ted?"  Rupert nodded.

"I was just about to open the door to the library when I saw you with Miss Calendar and I have to admit I was a bit envious."

"Envious, of Jenny?" Rupert was shocked. "But you never said anything!"

"Would you take me seriously if I had?" Buffy asked with a smirk. .

Giles thought for a moment. "Perhaps not." He cleared his throat. "Anything else?"

Crap, Buffy thought. You had to ask that didn't you Giles?  "Why my Mom?"

"At first Rupert didn't understand the question, then he turned as red as a beet. "It was the Candy Buffy." Seeing
the look on her face, he realized what she really asking. "You wished I had chosen you don't you?"

Buffy just stared, saying nothing, then she said. "It was after I heard what my mom thought about you that I started to dream about you." She paused for a second then confessed. "No, wait that's not true."

"It's not?"  Giles asked. Buffy blushed a soft pink flooding her face. "No actually the dreams started about two days after you saved from Amy's mom."

"And I sppose you told Willow about these dreams?" The Watcher wondered, thinking of the times she mentioned her dreams about Angel to the young witch. "No." Buffy told him. "We just became friends it was to early for the whole dream-sharing thing. Ok, I've said my piece. Is there something you want to get off your chest Giles?"
