Sylvia Plath’s “Daddy” is a poem steeped in strong emotion. She is clearly speaking about her emotional life alone, and in that she is expressing something true and real. I really liked your analogy of the beautiful but fragile porcelain doll. It really illustrates the patched effort used to bring her back to life.
