Tis a good thing that I wasn't planning on posting my next chapter any time soon, though I really should. I hadn't noticed anything wrong with ff.net, cause it was letting me read stories, but then I tried to log in after reading your posts, and it still has the same message up. Of course, I've only checked it just recently, but just to let you know you're not crazy. XD
I dunno, but it won't let me review, either. Of course, I rarely review as much as I should. But, I had it set to keep me logged in for 3 days and I'm still supposed to be logged in. So, it won't let me review.
I just got the message, too. Login/submission area is currently inaccessible due to a technical glitch. We apologize for the brief inconvenience. Please come back in a few minutes. I think, from the way you're talking, it's going to take mroe then a fwe minutes, if it's been over 24 hours.
I sent their support thing an e-mail last night in the hopes they're now aware of it if they weren't before (though I'd like to think they are).
What worries me is the fact that it's been down for *so* long. and even the news updates have no listings since December - that's pretty rare.
in classic fashion, fictionpress.com is *also* down with the same error. I'm 99% sure the 2 sites are connected. Which stinks for me because they're the only 2 sites I use!
They are connected. Several years ago, fanfiction.net hosted both original and fanfiction. However, to make sure that fanfiction.net was pure fanfiction, the site creators made a new site, fictionpress, and moved all of the original stuff there.
I think they use the same software, which is why the two sites look so similar except for font and colours :P.
Would have been some strange fluke if they WEREN'T connected, though, seeing as how they always have the same messages on the notice bits, the same login stuff, the same downtime.... *cough* the same stupid error messages....

Thank goodness I don't post much of anything on there anymore; I only sign in to review :P
