Oh Carolyn. You are so strong, trying to stay with a show that doesn't know what it's doing. A show should always know where it wants to be in the end. So that if it gets lost, it can orient itself.
It's time you were lured away, to another show about people with supernatural powers just trying to live life, but not being able to. I give you Being Human, on BBC 3. Which you can watch on YouTube, (don't watch the pilot first, as it was shot with completely different actors, I did, and I still miss the original Mitchell) Anyway. Being Human, is about a Vampire, a Werewolf, and a Ghost, who all share a house in Bristol. Come away from the silly heroes and their silly troubles. Fantasy done right awaits you.
I really want to do a short comic featuring Lyle and Mr Muggles just sitting around their empty home in Costa Verde. Occasionally Lyle will eat pizza or give Mr Muggles his pills. It shall be called "The Exciting Adventures of the Most Reasonable Members of the Bennett Family". :D
I basically agree with everything you mentioned. I really only pay attention to half of the show and ignore anything going on with Mohinder's plot lines. I thought with the whole Rebel arc that the show actually had more cohesion and purpose this season, but it's trying to add too many new complications. Heroes writers: you're not writing for Lost, you don't need to try to give us new mysteries/storylines before you wrap up the old ones. I hear they do it better these days, anyways.
With all my whining, I know I'll still watch next Monday. What is this strange hold you have over me, Heroes?
(Okay, I know what it is. Curse you and your strangely attractive evilness, Sylar! And awesome Bennet, when you're manipulating rather than being manipulated!)
Actually, I rather liked him. He was kind of hilarious. Random yes. But I feel that most of the Hiro/Toddler Touch and Go arc is pure silly. So i didn't mind. I like the silly. And I enjoyed Hiro's speech on being a hero. I miss those. And I really missed Hiro's time-stopping power.
