C/o dev_chieftain, because I thought it interesting: Those of you on my flist interested in getting published for your manga or comic via TOKYOPOP might want to read this, a breakdown of one of their "user-friendly" contracts. Idk squat about contracts, but I thought the giving up of moral rights to be especially disturbing.

Well admittedly, I'm not super or personally disturbed, since it doesn't have anything to do with me personally, but I am flabbergasted and generally amazed that a contract so manipulative exists out there. It's basically like giving your soul to the devil. D:

after about an hour of discussing this with people, i realized the guy who wrote this was the author of scott pilgrim and was like "asdjkldf omg" because everything on the blog looked so familiar and i was just...... slow. hi.
