Good news in the past 24 hours: I finished my cover letter, my resume got a thumbs up from the public service dean, my Jurisprudence Sex & Gender class was cancelled tomorrow, I found out that I'm not the only one blocked-AIM guy has been ignoring recently (in fact, it's all of our mutual friends), and I almost managed to be a vegan health fiend ( Read more... )

Umm, except I feel like everyone you know gets those cultural and historical references he makes. I don't recall him every saying anything too obscure in civil procedure.

I still contend that Neil and Harrison are not alike at all.

Stephen, ich muss eine Frage an dich richten: wenn du nach Deutschland (mit der Fulbright Programme) gefahren bist, wie viel Geld hattest du waehrend der neun Monate gebraucht? Ich fuerchte mich, dass ich nicht genueg habe...ich weiss nicht, wenn ich den Bewerbungs-Prozess fertig machen wollen.

Hey sorry I took so long to reply. I'd say that they pay you enough to live reasonably comfortably. Rent in Germany is pretty cheap, and you have enough free time that you can tutor people and charge a lot (15 Euros per hour was a fair rate).

You should really apply...it's a great experience, and in addition to that saying you're a Fulbright Scholar is uberimpressive. Also, I think the first cut is the real one, and the second is more because Germans love bureaucracy and want you to fill out their forms. So if you made it past the first cut, your chances are really good.
