It really proves how lame you are when you are having a play argument with your 6 year old sister about who is cooler than who and you find yourself getting mad about some of the stuff she is saying about you... especially when you realize you're really trying to win this argument now. pwned by my sister ( Read more... )

I hate a lot of sell-out bands. kthnx__ownt April 27 2005, 16:56:36 UTC
Just kidding. I only hate their faggot fans.

If anything, those faggots who scream "sellout" all the time should just be happy that their favorite band made it.

Unless the music changes after they get all popular. Then I'll hate that band. YEAH!

GO MICHELLE!

i sooo agree.

i could understand starting to dislike a band though if they actually sell out, but rarely do bands do this. what i mean by that is, if your favourite band actually starts producing radio esque songs in the hope that they'll get popular, then that sucks. but that usually doesn't happen.

Michelle, everybody knows the the totally new hip and cool livejournal thing to do is talk about how you hate people who think popular bands are sellouts, even though i'll bet you a gazillion jillion dollars (really!) that you haven't even met one of these mythical people, because they're sure as hell not going to the shows. That's right, 'fess up. This is only a desperate attempt to be as devil-may-care as me, because everybody knows I'm SO devil-may-care that I don't update on livejournal, ever. I put an apostrophe next to fess so it wouldn't look weird, but it does anyway. You can't very well say "confess up" though. Yes, this is certainly a dilemma. (right now I'm being the old awesome man on ghost in the shell that orders everyone around. I don't think there was any way for you to know that, but it was begging to be done, and I did it. So there ( ... )

uh actually i did meet one of these people on the bus the other day because he was like "what music do you listen to?" & i listed the usual & recipricated his question (not cause i cared, but because it was the polite thing to do) & he was like "oh well i like so and so and so and i used to like *insert name of some song i've never heard of here* by *insert name of band i've never heard of here*, but then they started playing it on the radio & everyone started liking it and now i fucking hate them"

so ha!

unless i'm just making this story up to impress you... because i love you & want you to be impressed with me

LOVE ME ALLIE!!!!

plus everyone hates the dresden dolls so ha! you are so going along with the crowd, it's not even funny. only i am super unique enough to looooooove them & brian is super cute you wouldn't even believe

Shhhh, Michelle, everybody loves the Dresden Dolls (except me because I'm cooler than that) and you know it.

I take back making up things to fit in with the super-sexy internet crowd, and am appropriately ashamed. Especially because that guy's a dick. Totally. Except if he liked them, and then they signed with Warner/Virgin record and got super popular, in which case I hate them too, only more, if that's possible.

Also, I hate it when they play bright eyes on the radio, because I like bright eyes because conor is whiny and cry-y and soooooo sad, and should only be played on headphones in a dark room late at night, not on KWOD in broad daylight with people talking in the car. So that needs to stop, the sooner the better.

I don't know about any of this, you see, because I am so hardcore that I don't listen to any music because if I am hearing any of it, it means that it is too popular and has therefore sold out.
