For: Zacharias and Mandy

Hee, I'm so glad summer holidays have started. A week before term ended, I started making a list of what I was going to do for the summer. Of course, it included the usual 'Spend more time with Mandy' and 'Write so many stories it hurts your hands', but this year it included another thing entirely! 'Invite your new friend, Zacharias Smith, over ( Read more... )

Well, I head to Russia a week from tomorrow -- goodness, that sounds strange! And I'll be gone for almost three weeks -- one week in Russia, and then I'll be spending one day on the train, two in a city, seven cities on the way home!

I could come over this week, maybe before Zach comes for a while?

(You know Mum and Da never mind if I'm at your place. And I think it'd be best if we were alone when we talked about that, don't you? I could probably floo over tomorrow.)

Oh my, that sounds so terribly exciting! I wish we had enough money to go. Maybe next year, hee!

But sure, whenever! You should both come at the same time. That would be grand and you know I like both of you well enough.

(Well, I also want to talk to you about You-Know-Who -- not that You-know-who but the other you-know-who. It's been annoying me for weeks but I just didn't think it was right to say anything.)

Well, I'm saved up from when I did that work with Mum last summer -- you remember how we translated those big stacks of boring papers together? She gave me half of what she earned -- and part of it is my Christmas present.

Well, I don't know that I want to come at the same time -- not that Zacharias isn't all right, but I want some of this summer to be Lisa and Mandy time, like it used to be.

(Is this the you-know-who that bothers you? Or... I think I'm confused!)

Yes, I remember that. Tell your mummy hello! Hee, tell her I miss her and my mummy would love to talk to her again. She loves seeing magic but she knows I can't do it during the summer. But once I'm of age and we're out of school, I'm going to put on a show for her or something! Hee, she gets excited over the smallest things.

And, um, sure. We can do that. I miss that too. I'm sorry for suggesting it, that was really stupid of me. But yes, Lisa and Mandy time.

(YES. She bothers me so much I almost want to scream.)
