I have a question

Is it better to keep your mouth shut and allow people to have this image of you, or open your mouth, and let them see the true image? The image that might not be as glamorous. The one that might 'cause chaos.

I've been wondering the same thing lately.

Same here =/... although I'm beginning to show people my true colors... it feels good but then the face they make when they see it, isn't so pretty. So I guess for those who are in this situation, they are left with two choices:

Be happy with who you really are and see who your true friends are (the ones who will accept the real you) or
Keep all these people that only like the idea of who they think you are and lie to yourself every day.

=/

Sometimes the problem isn't whether people will accept you, but rather what kind of reputation you want for yourself.

Ditto. I don't mind showing my true colors, and I don't care if they will accept my true colors or not, but it's like.. what how do I want to portray myself? Better yet, are people even able to do that? WHERE ARE THE BOUNDARIES?!?!?! D:

the ye old saying "actions speak louder than words" still applies. Whatever you have to say, say it, because the way you act will do a lot more for you. If you're worried about it keeping your mouth shut versus open, don't be. You're such a sweet heart that it'll probably make up for whatever you feel that is... how do I put this... worthy enough to keep your mouth shut, I suppose.

Sorry, I'm not much help... at all. TT_TT

Hahaha, awww don't say that, that meant a lot to me. lol Yea, see sometimes I wonder about that. 'cause like you know how they say, a good deed never goes unnoticed? How do you even know that?! lol And sometimes I worry that if I don't speak up, and let my actions speak, graaaaaaaaaave things will happen. lol

I try my best to be myself.
Being yourself doesn't necessarily being totally rude or open either. There are somethings that should be kept to yourself, but for the most part I think we should be "real." There are boundaries, but those shouldn't include what people think about you.
And like adimusk14 said, friends are the ones who would be their for whatever.

Thats just my opinion.

But see, like... arrrr... I blame it on... diversity! lol I don't want to, that's a horrible thing to do, but like.. my cultures clash. hahaha, I don't know... WHERE the boundaries SHOULD be set. I'd like to be real, but how REAL do you WANT me to be? Well, the underlying point in all of this is basically, "Should I transfer to Livejournal or not." Because, if I move to Livejournal, I don't really want you guys to see what I'm really thinking. 'cause in everyone's journal they seem sad and emo. I don't want people at school to think that I'm sad and emo & help... I'll just make it a journal entry for all of you.. lol

It's better to be yourself in either situation, and quietly refraining from talking is not the best way to go.

Just my opinion.
