This is how I see it. We’re all connected by fate. Everything has a reason. Everything has a purpose. Everything has a time and place. Every event controlled by the invisible force moving us all. The whole world moved by the strings of fate. The small invisible strands that draw us to one place. The nagging urge that brings us to where we need to be. The coincidences that happen. The friends made out of random situations. It’s all up to fate.
Fate can be cruel at times. The same cords of destiny that bind two friends are the same strings that later tear them apart. Being a blind puppet dangling by a thread, twisting obediently in this game called life. Each one a pawn, waiting to have their turn to move. All the rushing people in a crowded street, all the blurry faces, all go unnoticed, until one day fate calls you to step forward.
Sometimes I fear fate will do the same to you and me. It was by fate that we met. Luck, chance, whatever you wish to call it. You were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe you were in the right one all along. But whichever it was, I am truly grateful. Despite the chaos of the world, fate led me to you. But what if one day fate decides to alter our paths, and our lives that are now intertwined unwind until you are but a mere forgotten memory locked up in a corner of the life I once knew?
At times our doubt our love will last. You feel so distant. But when all else is gone and all pretenses are shed, I see the boy I grew to love. The boy who became a man. And all my worries are lost.
I now realize that you and I will always be together. No matter how far away our roads may take us or how different our paths may be, the strings of fate will never touch us nor will the ropes that hold us hinder us, because we are not ordinary people held by cliché bindings. My love, we are connected by ribbons.

Rough. That’s what you pretend to be. Stupid. Maybe that’s what you really are. Harsh. Perhaps it’s just a crumbling façade. Caring. The truth that lies beneath.
I observe people too much. It’s an odd habit. Like how I count the times you fail to understand, or the way you speak as if nothing could stop you. The way you would fight and never give up. Or the way you secretly care. The little things you do that make a difference. The little sweet child behind the tough mask.
Like a bear, big and fierce, yet warm and protective at the same time. I want to reach out and tame you. To see what lies beneath the dense attitude. Like every person, I know a heart lies somewhere within you. I want to be the one to make it beat.
