Servants' Quarters - Room Eight - Saturday Morning

Aug 09, 2008 11:05

Xander, in a pair of boxers, was sleeping.

And having a rather nice dream involving himself, a couple of supermodels and a hot tub.

He was most definitely not expecting to be woken up by a small child demanding breakfast.

Seth
Seth was tangled in his sheets still, one foot thrown out and dangling, head buried under his pillow.

What? It was Saturday. Saturday meant he could sleep in.

"Xander? Are you... speaking in kid? 'Cause dude, that's kind of weird."

Bruce Wayne
"Come on, what's this?" he pushed up his glasses. "I'm starving! Daddy's! Daddydaddydaddydaddy... I'll just keep saying it daddydaddydaddydaddy..."

Xander

"Seth, there's a kid in here calling one of us Daddy. Since I know that I've never done anything that would result in me becoming a daddy, I'm pretty sure he belongs to you," Xander said, sitting up in bed and staring at the kid.

Seth
That jerked Seth up to a sitting position.

"Dude. There's a kid on our room."

Seth get's points for stating the obvious.

"He's not mine. I've never dipped my... you know... without protection."

This was going to be bad, wasn't it?

Bruce Wayne
"No no no, you got it all wrong," stated Bruce Wayne, shaking his hands. "You're my daddy," he pointed at Xander. "And you're my daddy," he pointed at Seth.

"Me?" he pointed at himself. "I'm Bruce Wayne Cohen-Harris."

Xander

"Clearly this is a nightmare. I just need to wake up."

Xander refused to believe that he and his roommate had somehow had a child without either of them noticing.

Seth
Seth swallowed. "How is this possible? Am I dreaming? Does that kid look like you... and me?"

But dig the name!

"Awesome name, Bruce. Uh. But I think I should wake up now, so just come on over here and smack me back to 2008 where I have a girlfriend with rage issues. She finds out I have a kid, I'm done."

Bruce Wayne
Bruce shook his head, pushed his glasses back up once again.

"Dad's. You're killing me here." He whipped out a rolled comic book from his back pocket and walked calmly over to Seth and smacked him in the face with it. Then he turned and walked over to Xander. "Do I need to smack you too? The nightmare! It's real and I'm not just Bruce. I'm Bruce Wayne and I'm hungry!"

Xander

"No, no smacking!" Xander said, still boggling. "I could totally see myself naming my kid Bruce Wayne. And he does have a comic book."

He glanced over at Seth. "Okay, if you're really my kid, then you should know where the secret stash of Twinkies is. And you can have one of those for breakfast."

Xander had no concept of balanced meals.

Seth
"I could too. Bruce Wayne is totally awesome, dude," Seth said with a dazed look, his cheek red. "I don't think I'm violent. He must get that from Uncle Ryan." Um.

He raised his brows. "Yeah. Find the Twinkies, then we'll know." He stood, folded his arms across his skinny chest.

Bruce Wayne
Bruce Wayne laughed and bounced over to the desk, pulling out the right top hand drawer. "Are you kidding me? Twinkies are the breakfast of champions!" He pulled out one and unwrapped it immediately, shoving half of it in his mouth.

Xander

Xander laughed. "Okay, definitely my kid. I so don't wanna know how though. But, um... Bruce Wayne? Why are you here?"

Seth
Seth was shocked. He sat back down on his bed.

On second thought, he got up, grabbed himself a Twinkie, then sat back down on his bed.

Bruce Wayne
Bruce Wayne swallowed before he shrugged and answered. "Something happened and I just found myself here. There's other kids too." The rest of the Twinkie became lost in his mouth.

Xander

"Other kids? Like... you have brothers or sisters?"

Xander looked a little more stunned. And scared.

Seth
Seth's jaw dropped. Twinkie crumbs fell out.

How many times did he and Xander...

Wait. No. No. No. That just wasn't possible.

Bruce Wayne
"No, not me. Just other kids. You think if I had a brother or sister come along I would just ditch them?" he shook his head, shoved his comic in his back pocket and stepped over to Seth, lifting a finger to his chin and closing his mouth.

He twirled and grinned wide. "Where's Aunt Willow? I have to see her and show her my latest comic book!" He ran straight for Xander and wrapped his arms around his legs.

Xander

Xander stared down at the top of his son's head. His *son*. Oh, man. His life was so weird.

"Uh... Aunt Willow is... um... she's probably in her dorm room. We can go visit her later, if you want."

Seth
Seth tried to meet Xander's eyes, because really, he couldn't be the only one confused about this.

But he wanted a hug too. "Hey, that's great. We'll visit Aunt Willow."

Bruce Wayne
"Yes! And Aunt Summer?" he said, turning and running for Seth, squeezing his legs too.

Xander

Oh. That... could be bad.

Xander definitely caught Seth's eyes at that. "Tell you what, kid. How about if I get dressed and you and me will go see Aunt Willow. Then, later, you and... uh... Daddy Seth can visit Aunt Summer."

Seth
That could definitely be bad. It was going to be bad anyway.

"What Daddy Xander said."

Bruce Wayne
"I'll agree to that if I can have another Twinkie," he said. "And remember I'm an equal opportunity kid. The shared time has to be even. Right? Now come one, let's play some games!"

Xander

Xander chuckled. This kid was pretty cool.

"Okay, you can have another Twinkie. But how about you read your comic book while I get a shower? Then we can go visit Aunt Willow."

Seth
"And I'm going to shower," said Seth.

Uhh. "But Daddy Xander can go first. Read to me, Bruce Wayne and then a visiting we'll go."

Bruce Wayne
He grabbed Daddy Seth's hand and pulled him to the floor and that is exactly what he did while waiting for his other daddy to get done in the shower.
