Archie was breaking the conception that Brits were good at queuing. He made a frustrating noise, banging a hand on the wire screen that separated him and the motel manager. Already, there was a line waiting impatiently behind him, and he felt a bit like eyes were glaringly searing into the back of his head ( ... )

Kara pulled away from the man, shaking him off like he was some kind of leper - and for all she knew, he might be. Ever since she'd arrived on this ridiculously over-crowded planet, she'd been coughed on, sneezed on, and made to sit beside a baby that threw up as much as it slept. The crowded port city was ever more disgusting than bunking with pilots, and that was really saying something.

She looked up at him, an exceedingly unladylike insult poised on the tip of her tongue. She swallowed it when she say Lee standing before her, and her face split into a broad grin. "Lee Adama! I didn't even see you there! Why didn't you say something, you frakker?"

Archie shook his head, but couldn't quite manage to get any full words out. In fact, he stumbled on his own tongue. "I, uh-- no, it's n-- I'm..." But he was suddenly distracted by something in the opposite direction of their room. "Hey!" He yelled, raising an arm. "Hey, don't touch that!"

He gave the woman an apologetic look, then jogged off towards a point where several of the crowd had gathered. "Get out of here," he shooed, forcing the people to move on. As they moved away, Archie was revealed, rolling a metal keg along the ground towards their door. Passing the woman, he didn't actually say anything, just continued along in hopes of not being stopped by the management or the woman.

Kara pulled a face, watching Archie run off. His voice was... off, as though he was affecting an Aerelonian accent. Kara had thought at first it was a clever trick to attempt to get the last room, but that he was keeping it up? She didn't know what to make of that. Nor did she know what to say about the metal object he was rolling toward... and then past her.

Sh followed him, catching up easily in a few long strides. At the elevators, she snatched the key from his hand, reading the room number and selecting the correct button to take them up to the appropriate floor. Once the doors slid shut, she faced him once more. "So you gonna tell me what you're doing here or what?"
