We are in the next province, so are fine, but for the first time they are talking about an interface fire, and we live in an area covered in trees so this year we not only have 'go' backs ready, but a list of what to grab at the last minute.
I've been watching this on the news, it's so awful. These poor people who will lose their homes, I just can't imagine what that must feel like. I don't know why, but I tend to think of Canada as a cold, snowy country and seeing this fire raging was such a surprise.
Most of them have lost their homes, no doubt about that, and as this fire rages on it depend on the wind which way it will go, and now the two fires have joined, and it keeps growing
I can't comprehend how it must feel. Some people drove north and now they are being evacuated through the ruins to another location.
