It is the special edition. I agree that Greedo shooting first is horrible, and the Jabba scene in A New Hope is also horrible.

But there's no way in hell that's going to stop me from owning these... :)

hehehe. It's supposed to be similar to the Indy box set, where all the special features are on a separate disc. Works for me.
