So for the past year, we've been dealing with major issues with hubby. For those who remember, last Summer he had surgery to correct a hernia which was supposed to help some pain he was having in his groin region. No one could explain to us why he was in so much pain. Some said that it was the hernia. Others said it was a nerve issue. Some said it ( Read more... )

Oh, man, Twichie. First, my sympathies to you and yours. Secondly, this makes me very, very angry. I hate ARMY docs and I hate Tri-Care. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if I was still on Tri-Care when I had my first seizure, they would have never found my tumor. Keep fighting. It's exhausting but worth it.

Military medicine stinks. I keep saying it and people keep not getting it. They think they understand - but they don't.

We're fighting and I refuse to give up. I'm obnoxious that way. ;) At least hubby appreciates that about me! LOL! If not, we might be in trouble!

That's awful!! I can't believe they wouldn't do an MRI sooner. I'd think that an MRI would've been easier than removing a nerve! Isn't that one of the standard "find out what's wrong when it's not what we first thought" moves? Sheesh.

I hope you find something that helps his pain. :o(

Well, see, no one thought anything was wrong but his mind. For that whole year, everyone told him to 'suck it up' and 'deal with it' cause we fixed you. No one realized they hadn't fixed him until I demanded the MRI. And even that was a battle. For that whole time they told him it was in his head and they counted him as a 'problem' patient - always complaining. Like an episode of House - but they weren't as nice as House! That says something!
