Week in Review

Work - Not cool, but endurable. Employee reviews are due at the end of next week, and this year I need to do two and consult on one other. In the past I've only been responsible for one; my receiver. But, since shelving has been placed under the Receiving Department, I now need to do the shelver's review and help with the zoner's. ("Zoner" refers ( Read more... )

Most of my problem is that I'm crappy at keeping records for this sort of thing, so I'm stuck writing the review from memory. It's a lot of "Wait, who did what when?".

Nerdery needed points, so I bought comics today.

I never imagined myself as being "handy", but home ownership is battlefield training for this sort of thing.

I'm trying to be better at organizing my thoughts and committing to a little regular writing. But I make no promises.;)

"Zoner" refers to the person at a B&N responsible for "zone maintenance", not a die hard Rod Serling fan.

Except that they still have the coolest job title ever. ;)

I don't know if it's in any official employee handbook, but it's totally used in conversation. "Who's zoning today?" "June's our zoner."
