Based on a previous post I've doing my monthly review of where I am at and where I am going. School: The studying is coming along well and I have another session planned at B&N for some book crackin' after my walk in the park at home since the usual places were packed. I really need to pass this test since if I do not I have to wait 6 months to try again. I should be taking it around the end of March/early April. I plan to apply for 2009-2010 student loans in the next month or so but they may not cover it, so I will have to see what happens. If not, I will take one class at a time till I get into the program and re-apply.
Moving: I've been looking around town to get ideas of where I would possibly end up. I have had roommate offers from my cousin in Cincinnati as well as a few people here in town. Moving to Cincinnati would mean that I would need to locate a job in the area prior to moving. I miss Cincy, but this isn't the way I want to go really and she and I would not be a good living situation. The option of moving in with a friend in Clintonville is an option, tho I'm not sure if the cats could handle her two dogs but it's definitely the better of these two options. In the meantime I'm looking at studios and one bedrooms and they have to be okay with cats. There's no way I'd leave my cats behind. Timetable is a year to two years. I've already started setting cash aside for movers and after that saving for any new furniture I may have to purchase since I sold off a bit when I moved here. At this point I may go back to
Ridge at Taylor Station unless I find something closer to school/work. I like saving the fuel monies.
Extras:
I've stayed to my course of cutting back on the conventions thus far. Marcon is on the table next.
I am enjoying the sewing projects that I have been working on as well as the crochet I've been completing. Next, knit caps, but that won't be for a month or more. Purchased a large tote to re-organize the fabric correctly and store it in the basement when not in use. Moving the excess yarn to the basement for storage till I go though what I have at the moment.
I've started a small savings to plan a nice vacation in the next year or so. I've got my passport paperwork all filled out and am going to stop by the main post office this week or next to turn it in since they accept them there and take the photos. If nothing else, I'll have it for if I do need it and maybe can go and see Ireland and Scotland finally, or maybe even my friend from college in Japan!
I'm optimistic. It's an uphill climb, but I think I'm getting my second wind as I've cleared up some past issues and the ducks are finally getting in a row.
