no, i was just told my the fashion girls at western that i cant use my felted sweater, or the sweater i reconstructed to go with my tie skirt, or my umbrella skirt, or the dinosaur hoodie that i already made for the fashion show, because i didnt make the entire things by scratch. they told me they cant really be considered real desigining or real fashion and if i try to use them the will pull me out of the fashion show.
that is such crap. from scratch? did all of them shear the sheep, pick the cotton, and spin the thread that made the fabrics that they're using? i'm gonna guess that your designs are the only ones that stand out as "unique". that's probably because you're the only one thinking outside the box, and doing something different. they need to learn that "real fashion" is not only defined by what Paris Hilton wore last week. it's an art form. it's expression. it's individualism. it can't be "wrong". remember, you're awesome. your imaginary friend says so.
imaginary friends, like art forms, can also never be wrong. ;)
