This was spot-on perfect. I know you found Maria hard to write, but you did it perfectly. She sounds exactly like Maria. This is exactly what Maria would do. It's perfect. Particularly when she ripped Jasper's shirt, exposed his chest, and tried to humiliate him over his scars. That is EXACTLY Maria.
I loved that you had Alice sneak up even though Jasper told her not to, and that it was her love that gave him the strength to stand up to Maria. I just . . . I love that bit so much!!!
You know I've written a Maria return story. I love my version, but reading yours, it made me go 'yes, that's much more realistic, her version is perfect canon.'
I'm always so envious of your work. You write so well, and your speed of writing is amazing. You never cease to impress me. From one writer to another, you definitely have my respect.
