Title: Forever Hold Your Peace (a.k.a. You And Me Could Make A Bad Bromance)

Summary: Long one-shot fic (obviously, since it’s for a Big Bang). Edward and Jacob are best friends since forever. Edward’s in a long-term relationship with Bella, while Jacob’s engaged to be married to a girl named Renesmee after only a short time in knowing her. Edward freaks out with this revelation and goes on a mission to stop this wedding from happening at all costs. Will Edward’s obsessive machinations be a dealbreaker to his lifelong “bromance” with Jacob?
Warnings: AU and AH. Storyline clearly (but not exactly) borrowing parallels to “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. Characterization may slightly be OOC, but I will try to be as close to canon as possible. Story is part-songfic and contains lyrics to songs reflecting the mood of the scenes. No copyright infringement is intended, and lyrics belong to the respective artists who wrote/performed them. Also, Renesmee is NOT Edward and Bella’s daughter in this one. Other than those I mentioned, I think this one’s good to go.
Word Count: (hopefully) 16,000+
Author’s Notes: I’m normally a hardcore Edward/Jacob slash shipper, but I wanted to challenge myself with a fic that places them strictly on a close male friendship basis without any USTs whatsoever. Apart from this, those who are familiar with my work knows that I particularly DISLIKE Bella as a character, so it is another challenge for me to write her in my story as someone I could find the least bit tolerable. I hope I managed to achieve these two obstacles I put myself through.
