First off, here's Kapali not minding his harness:
And at the hotel room in Yuba City:
New Home:
This is the living room. Andy's desk is behind the couch. There's a few feet between the couch and the back of his chair. Plenty of space for an office, and a cat corner (which has Kapali's tree, catbox, carrier, and floor scratchy wave). It doesn't even feel cramped.
My desk is back there, too. NEW DESK! :D
You can tell I did not tidy up for these pictures. Shoes right in the middle of the kitchen floor and I'm like, "whatever, man."
Yes, that centerpiece is a prototype for the wedding. It obviously needs at least a couple more tribbles, probably smaller than the one it already has.
Cleaning stuff is left out to say, "Sarah, stop taking pictures and dust! YOUR AUNT TRACEY IS GOING TO VISIT! :O"
This is the brown thing that looks like it is leaning precariously against the wall (Bay Area floors are pretty much all uneven because it's all old construction). It's a cupboard/pantry that my grandmother gave us because we didn't have enough storage in the kitchen. It works! Our kitchen is little, but we've had no trouble cooking in it.
It's actually pretty nice. Nicer in some ways than our old one!
There's a bathroom, as well. I didn't take a picture of the toilet. You can use your imagination.
Bedroom! Look at the duster nagging at me. WHATEVER, DUSTER.
Dresser in the bedroom has the printer, and some skulls. Because I'm still me.
Tiny Enterprise!
The smaller dresser next to it also has a tiny Enterprise. And a zombie.
This is from one of our windows, just showing how far we are from the lake. That construction yonder is going to eventually be a little public garden, I heard.
Here's a shot from another window, showing how close we are to seriously delicious tacos. There are always people at this taco truck because it is tasty. I will not lie, we have walked across the street to get tacos quite a few times. >.>
There are other windows with nicer views, but I figured those were the ones that mattered. I didn't take pictures of everything because I eventually did have to dust. Here are my apartment stats:
Bedrooms: 1 (decent size!)
Closets: 1 (walk-in, good amount of storage)
Bathrooms: 1 (small, but big bathtub and that's the main thing)
Windows: 10 (2 in the bedroom, 1 in the kitchen, 1 in the bathroom, and 6 in the living room)
Drawers: 0, which is why we did things like put a big pantry thing in the kitchen. There is also a small cherry wood dresser in the kitchen that has a Turkish tea set on it and holds a lot of our kitchen stuff. Like teas and tin foil. Storage was an issue, but we're good now.
The pictures are kind of weird, but the colors in the living room/kitchen are basically white and green (sort of between avocado and sage), the bathroom is a pale yellow and the bedroom is essentially beige. It was supposed to be sand, but that's what happens when you arbitrarily select colors online! This apartment is a lot taller than our last one, so we'll probably get some more shelving and stuff, and I want to get something for that blank wall in the dining room. But that's basically it.
Okay, back to wedding chores. XD Ttyl, Livejournal!
