"I thought this would be a little kid's game or even a girl's game, but it actually turned out to be a pretty fun game."

Well, it is actually intended to be a fun game that possibly appeals to girls, but it is okay if you like it, too, dude. :D ( Read more... )

Those are incredible graphics! I am a horse person, and the movement is really correct, I couldn't believe it even does lead changes. (You probably have no clue what I'm talking about.)
Btw, "leg warmers" are probably supposed to be what's usually called polo wraps. They make an assortment of support wear, but I'm guessing plain wraps because of the bright colors.

That's my job, so I wouldn't want it as a game (and I lack an iAnything anyway) but I'm really impressed. Your man is talented!

They look like leg warmers to me! AND MY HORSE IS WEARING PINK ONES UNTIL I CAN AFFORD THE PURPLE ONES.

(As wife of the lead designer, you'd think I could just start out with the purple ones... but noooooo.)

This is good to see. My SO is really into horses, and I'd been noticing from when she'd look into horse games that the demand for them was really there... and was being occupied by really awful games. Either the stuff involving the horses was inaccurate and ridiculous to someone who knows horses, or the gameplay/product was shoddy or fugly as hell. Developers seemed to think that as long as there were horses and pink sparkles on there, that was plenty. Kind of funny that this had gone untapped for as long as it did.

Yeah, seriously! The guy in charge of this project on Natural Motion's end is an equestrian/horse enthusiast, and that shows. It's not a perfect game by any means, but it is compelling, and it does LOOK fantastic. I'm a little bummed that Andy didn't bring home the ipod for me to play with it tonight, tbh. XD And there will be more content released later. Judging from how many downloads/reviews/good ratings it has, the demand was certainly there.

I know! He stayed home sick yesterday, and I was like "but then how will I get to borrow your work ipod tonight to play with my horse, Andy? HOW?"

And then he gave me this look and so I opted to be nice to him and help him feel better instead of admonish him for not putting my virtual pet's needs ahead of his own. XD
