I really wish there were more people that wrote BE fic because then I could invest in a beta to catch my SPAG errors. But thanks for pointing that out-I will def change that as you're right-it switches tenses.

I can totally see the children acting like Nucky if Margaret and him stay together for a long time too. Since Nucky's first child died I can see him taking those children under his wing and maybe molding them into what he wants them to be. And you're right-Jimmy has already caught some of that, being around him so much.

I def want to write more Jimmy/Richard one shots.

Now that there's a BE fan fic comm it may give me the boost/push I need to write some more:)

No worries. You know I find Third person Present and absolute nightmare to write (I used to do a lot of FF on another journal in another fandom back in the day ; ) ) and you're brave for even attempting it ! If you're ever stuck for a beta I'm more than happy to help out. I'm in the middle of an English degree atm, I've not written FF in a while, but I'd like to get back into it again, so I'll definitely be hanging around LJ, if you ever need an extra set of eyes on anything.

I think I might try a little one-shot history piece on Jimmy and Nucky - I love their relationship - just to get myself back into the groove again before I attempt the challenge piece. I look forward to reading more of your stuff, I will be working through what you posted up over the next few days ; )
