I thought there'd be some big deal made over this... I dunno what I was expecting. Fire maybe? Dragons? Who knows? Sort of a downer that there was no big test or anything like that. Maybe that's what Hawkeye's string-pulling amounted to. Anyway, I turned in the forms to the clerk and gave them the proof that we pay rent and all that. Hearing next Wednesday. I have no idea what that means, but I'm betting we should find some nicer clothes for it. Don't want to give them any reasons to turn us down.
If all goes well, we'll be legal by next Friday, all three of us.
I'm already looking for a new job.

So Shaoran's got a dead eye. No wonder he was acting so odd before. I guess I'd be secretive, too, if I had that kind of weakness.
I'm teaching him how to fight with a sword. Guess that run-in with the gang taught him that he needs more than fast feet to deal with his enemies. He's not so bad, really. I thought it would be a lot harder to teach someone who's half-blind, but he seems to be learning fairly well. His problem is timing, really. He's using some sort of other sense to tell where his attackers are--not the same way I do, but similar, I suppose. I think he called it "auras." He moves too soon sometimes, which lets his enemy change its mind at the last minute. I think he's ready to let me teach him, though, so hopefully he'll be okay next time he has to go running off after a feather.
Of course, hopefully next time he'll ask for backup.

My boss says I have something called allergies. What the hell does that mean? Whatever it is, it's awful. I keep coughing and feeling cold for no reason. I think I've been through two boxes of tissues so far in the same shift, and I've been wearing my coat the whole time. And I haven't even been here all night! I took off for most of the afternoon. This is ridiculous. If this has something to do with spring, then I think I changed my mind about it. Spring sucks.
Geez, I'm so exhausted. I think at this point I'm typing just so that I won't fall asleep back here. I'd go move boxes or something to stay awake, but I just don't have the energy. Guess the stuff earlier today took more out of me than I expected.
I'd sleep in tomorrow, but I don't think my teachers would take kindly to that.
