How do I add a 3rd cat into our home without a catwar?

Anyone want to chime in on this one?  I could use some true constructive help.

1. my cats are about 13 yrs old.
2. all cats involved are male.
3. the new cat is about 2 1/2.

all are neutered.

the new (youngest) one would be more alpha, but that's a guess and now it may all be moot. don't ask.

When i bring a new cat into the household i keep them in the room i sleeping for the first few nights. then i make other kitties stay in my room for a couple nights and i put new kitty in the rest of the house. this way both cats get used to the new smells. all during this time i allow time with all kitties to be together with me in the same room for short periods and then separate them. usually takes about 2 weeks before I'll let them all sleep with free roam of the house while I'm sleeping. and at least 3 to 4 weeks to have free combined roam of the house while I'm not there.

at most to combine new kitty safely in my house takes 4 weeks.

the sleeping thing just won't work for me, neither cat sleeps with us, too many tiny pinprick holes in the water bed led to disaster. anyway for the time being it appears that the matter is moot. again I request that no questions asked. thanks.
