“When I first met her,” the witness recalled, “she was surrounded by this bright light. But it wasn’t only the background lights, she was bright, positively radiating.”
Dean - posing as a federal agent - leaned closer, picturing the scene with a knowing smile.
“Then she spoke to me with a voice that brightened the day, any day, and made my heart swell. I realized she was not only stunningly beautiful but also bright, with a quick, smart wit. She was in every sense, you know…”
“…bright?” Dean ventured, finishing for her.
“Exactly!” The woman exclaimed triumphantly. “How did you know?”
