Ah........2007 will be a very fine year to remember as a Giants fan. We destroyed the Eagles in our first match up - in Philly. That alone, was frankly the highlight of my season. Punish all of Philadelphia all of the time - Giants Fan Rule #1. We had some subpar games after that, but slowly and surely, the team started to really gell. I think the ( Read more... )

Congrats and shit.

1) Boss is better than Shockey. I haven't seen him drop a pass yet.
2) You forgot Indy and Baltimore giving the Pats a run.
3) And since this your 2nd post in a row saying Kerry Collins sucks, um you might be wrong. Here Collins's stats for his first four years with the Giants, compared to Manning.

Collins
Games: 58
Com%: 58.95%
Yds: 13,765
TD's: 68
Ints: 54
QB Rating: 79.73

Manning:
Games: 57
Comp%: 54.68%
Yds: 11,385
TD's: 77
Ints: 64
QB Rating: 70.55

Not very impressive by both. Also, Collins 1 superbowl appearance.

But they have been impressive the past 3 weeks. It sucks that they're season will be remembered for 3 weeks of great play compared to 16 weeks of OK play.

Someone in my office pointed out, the one area where Shockey has Boss right now is that he's better after the catch. But yeah, what good is that if you're dropping several passes a game? Boss has made some big plays.

Everyone loves Bradshaw. Amazing to think he never would have seen the light of day had Ward not been injured. Or Grant traded in the preseason. And as awesome as Grant has become for the Packers, where was he going to fit in on the Giants? Only unfortunate thing there is we couldn't get more value for him in return, but of course nobody knew he was that good in the preseason.

Collins was an OK quarterback but he fumbled the ball too much. That Super Bowl year, with Toomer and Hilliard to throw to, he was pretty clutch. Eli is better, though. He is proving himself as the franchise quarterback they drafted him to be.
