Foam party!

May 23, 2006 21:58

Cameron and I are going to the Bubble Bobble foam party this Friday night down at Studio Seven in Seattle. Nintendo theme = AWESOME!! Lots of great local DJs, like DJ Wheelz, Wiggles, and Mea from Los Angeles. Heh, and we're still going hiking and camping on the weekend. :-D

Where IS Studio 7?
The only one I can find is in Othello, WA.
If we could get directions there we'd totally go!

Buy the tickets as soon as you can! There will be some at the door, but I'm not sure how secure that is. YAY!!! I'm glad you guys wanna come :)! If you want, you might try dressing up as Nintendo characters. I'm still trying to decide which one I want to be, but of course, the main issue is functionality.

Local musical facilities are woefully inadequate for electronic music. Only the university's student radio station is of any (if occasional) help.

Thank you for the Guide! It's very pretty :)

I think I've only listened to your KSUA block once or twice (Monday nights, ja?), but I have the college stream on Winamp and never catch anything regarding electronica. Teh sucks. 'Would think you'd be better, considering at one point, at least, you guys were one of the "most wired." How accurate is that, anyway?

I no longer have said block. Schedule is probably run by standard summer students, now, hense the shift away from techno. That said, aside the occasional trance song on our pop stations, it is the best bet.

I never did post about the party, eh? It was a blast. A lot crazier than I thought it'd be... hehe, I should've known, seeing how Seattle is now... of *course* it would be a rave!

It was lacking 95% in the "foam" aspect, which made me sad, because if I'd known I wasn't going to get wet, I would've dressed better and perhaps brought a camera.

It was quite crowded, which I had expected, but I hadn't given much thought to the touching-other-people's-skin parts, as I was forced to create BODILY FRICTION while I danced and bounced about the nearly-naked.

Heehee... everyone had a binkie. Cameron and I took a break upstairs in the lounge where trippy kids asked us if we were "rollin'" or if we cared for a whif of Vick's Vaper Rub. And there really are people who walk around swirling those neon glow sticks at everyone. While I was not on anything myself, I think I now understand how truly freaky that sort of image looks in a druggie's mind ( ... )
