I keep laughing remembering that clip of him being stretchered out, covered bandages and a blanket, but waving with his sequin gloved hand.

That made me wince.

I guess it was pretty hot up there anyway (specially if there's been a shitload of pyrotechnics going off), and he was probably too focused on his performance to notice.

My guess is that he was already zoned out on adrenaline/endorphins from a performance high - or possibly a chemical high as well ........... he looks from that footage that he was zoned/spaced out in that place where you cannot feel pain.
