Okay, simple enough. Using the Dragon's Pulse, Ling can sense people's Chi (of Qi or Ki or whatever) as their 'living energy'. No, he cannot detect power levels. In general most humans will be pretty indistinguishable to him, as there's no way to differentiate different Chi energy. However, someone more unique might register

Does your character ping differently than a normal human? If so, how? Zack feels normal enough but for the fact that his cells are fused with Jenova, and since she's a separate, sentient being, her presence would probably be noticeable.
Are you okay with Ling noticing this and pointing it out? Yep. Would encourage this actually, since even Zack can't sense or hear her and screwing with characters is fun.
Can your character sense Greed being a Homonculus? Nope.

I'm not sure how Ion might ping differently, since aside from being on 2-3 years old, replicas are basically human. They are supposed to be composed of only seventh fonons, but that's Abyss-specific stuff so it probably won't apply. :|b

Actually, I think the Mushi inside of her mind would have its own sort of energy to it, so maybe he'd sense two different spiritual energies: Sayo's regular w/e Chi energy, and then the mushi's sort of strong presence. Granted the mushi won't seem ominous like Homunculi feels, but a natural sort of Chi. 'Cause it's not an evil creature. And all that jazz.

Aella..... is not. besides the obvious of being half elemental (elementals are basically beings who control life energy in various forms.) , she has three souls. Her own, and two others that hers was 'born' from, to act as a balance for their power.

Sure? She'd probably tell him he was nuts because what the hell, are you insane.
Can your character sense Greed being a Homonculus? She can sense he's non-human, but beyond that, she'll never pinpoint what because it's.... not something she's ever seen.

So I figure Usopp, Smellerbee, and Hughes here will be on the "meh, whatever" scale, because they are of the non-supernatural human variety. sorryhesabear is actually probably pass-over-able, too. The talking/kung-fu thing aside. He's pretty much just a normal bear who was well-trained, as far as I've been able to tell.

Ninja from this canon define chakra as being life energy, for lack of flowery explanations, and they're trained from pretty early on to hone it and utilize it for a lot of stuff. (Jutsus, walking up trees, enhancing senses, etc.) So I dunno, it might be sharper? I'll really leave that up to you, if they ever run into each other. It would likely be noticeable if he used a jutsu or decided he needed a giant fist for something, though.
