I need to clean it because it's affecting the balance of my life.

i agree.
i was looking up some zen/feng shui stuff the other day - finally figured out why i must be having such bad luck!

it says not to hang a lot of pictures and stuff on the backs of doors and such, as it weighs your life down. darn. bad habit, lise.
