Oh, Bobby, you would watch that subpar spinoff. I feel sad for you, even though you are fictional and have far better things to worry about.
Also, heeee on the package from Samuel Colt. Sammy, you forgot to sign for it! Remember, you spell your name 'Deeeeeeussss.... Exxxxxx..... Maaaaa......'
LOL! Yeah, no doubt. But apparently the ending came directly from one of the "Back to the Future" movies so we should be rolling our eyes at the original source as well.
And I actually watched every single episode of DS9 to keep my husband company. I didn't like it nearly as much as TNG or Babylon 5 but it wasn't bad, either. I've watched more of worse, for certain. :)
I'm stuck wondering what they made the poo out of. Wet clay? Some mixture of things?
I talked more about this on my journal, but I don't think Cas is any more evil than Sam was in season 4: in which they are both doing Very Bad Things and there are likely to be consequences to his actions, but I don't think it's likely that they'll have to hunt down Cas any time soon.
And yeah, I was :| over the whore part, too. Did that need to be in there, really?
It really didn't, but these writers just never miss a chance to remind women of all the ways we're unacceptable: slut-shaming, virgin-shaming, looks-bashing and oh yeah -- FIC WRITING. The horror! I watch a lot of shows geared towards a male audience (Sons of Anarchy, The Shield, various sci-fi things) and NONE of them have the general animosity towards women that SPN does.
It's one of those things that I just try not to think about. :P
Justified love! I was totally psyched for this episode if only for the though of more of teh pretteh in cowboy hats.
I was kind of hoping raylan would show up. But that's what fic for.
Also, it was so much fun...and really, was not very different from your average case episode.... I couldn't help but wish that the entire show would just permanently turn into a western.
That would be awesome.
Thinking of the whole angel blah, it might be more compelling if they'd actually told us what the deal was from the beginning. Vague hints just make me think of too many shows that just wanted to make you think there was something there when there really wasn't anything there.
Also, I'm kind of disappointed that the first thing Sam said to Colt wasn't "Why the HELL did you make 13 bullets?!"
And Dean was so happy to see the gun, it kind of makes you wonder why he hasn't remarked on apparently misplacing it some point last season. (Possibly in abandon all hope?)
"I couldn't help but wish that the entire show would just permanently turn into a western."
I don't see why not! SPN barely resembles the show it was when they began and frankly a western would be a lot more fun than the endless angel crap and the war they can't afford to show us and so on. At least a western would give us JA looking very cute.

I totally agree, especially since they can't show any of it, ever. I'm utterly weary of the vague hints and frankly I just don't care anymore. Any time an angel appears or this plot pops up I take a little nap. Three years of this is way, way too much.
it wouldn't be too much if they'd ever handled it well. Castiel was the highpoint, IMO, and it just kind of went downhill from there. Really, if he was all we'd ever seen of them, it probably would have been for the best.
I think the problem is that they generally don't know what to do with him (or really, any of the angels) and so this (and the search for god, etc) were ways to just not have to deal with it, even though they really weren't developing those things either.
