Ooyokogawa still amazes me. With its bending branches forming a tunnel-like walkway long the canal (?), it truly looks picturesque.
I'm curious: Do you plan a trip to Mt Fuji while you're there? I have no idea how far it actually is from Tokyo, but I remember that it was visible from the Skytree.
And thanks for explaing the footwear in the last post! I always find it fascinating that, because of it's similarity, we associate something with another, much simpler and less traditional thing, like flip flops. *lol* Then again, the geta seemed a little uncormfortable for walking ... almost like on mini stilts.
And, how did the house viewing go? I imagine it to be a highly stressful situation - one I wouldn't even undertake on my home turf, let alone abroad, so kudos to you!
