There are fireworks festivals all over Japan during summer. Some offer tickets for premium seats, but most have huge open spaces for people to bring leisure mats and picnic blankets and make a whole day of it. For free.

LOL I love your "getting ready" photo. :) You do look so pretty in the yukata. And considering I never figure out how to braid my own hair, I doubt I would ever be able to figure out the obi!

So fun to get dressed up and go out. Looks like a lovely evening!

Such a lovely yukata, you look great in it! And I think you took some pretty good fireworks photos too. Mine always turn out terribly lol

I am all about yukata! I have many, but my recent obsession is with one my boyfriend bought me. Unfortunately, it isn't a "cheat" so I have to go through the hassle of doing the straps and such and the obi is such a pain to tie. I even took a class to get it done right. Now it only takes me 30 minutes.
