Happy holidays everyone, an accounting my materialism can be found below the cut.
This is what I gotten so far for Christmas:
Gilmore Girls season 7. The last season of one of my favorite shows, which I’ve been meaning to start collecting.
Smallville season 8. I like Smallville, but I’m kind of behind on it since I no longer get the CW. My knowledge of the series kind of drops out around seasons 5 or 6, but I think I’ll still enjoy this.
L: Change the World. I was really taken aback when I saw a live action Death Note movie about L at Walmart. I’ve only seen part of the first live action Death Note movie (my copy was corrupted), so I didn’t know that L kind of survives that movie (he has 23 days left, which is far better than the manga/anime L).
The Princess Bride. It’s a great movie (and mine has a great cover to boot).
The His Dark Materials Trilogy. I liked the movie version of the Golden compass and I really want to see what happens after that.
Halo the Interactive Strategy Game. It’s a Halo board game. I don’t like playing Halo but the lore is kind of interesting. The game looks pretty easy to manage, has fairly good production values, and comes with special dice (14 six sided dice evenly split between UNSC and Covenant symbols). This is pretty much a failed project that has gotten really cheap, so if I like it I can buy more copies at work to expand the game. It comes with a DVD that can be used as some sort of randomizer rather than dice, but I’m not planning on using it.
Little Big Planet (for the PSP). This game rocks. I’ve spent most of my day playing through the story mode with Gilmore Girls on in the background. Next time I get online with my PSP, I will probably end up downloading some user created levels, though it might take me some time to get good enough with the tools to make anything worthwhile on my own.
The day itself has been pretty uneventful. We opened presents in the morning, a bunch of relative I don't care to talk to came to for food, and I texted Alex a lot.
