Two very long, in-depth descriptions of two characters from my Mario High School stories... Chance and Hope! Rawr. (I like them.) And since they're long, they're behind cuts. (The birthdates are quirky.)

Hobbies/Pastimes: Playing in the campus video game league, elite member of CTA (Conspiracy Theorists Association), rocking out to music (even if it's in his head), hanging with his girlfriend
Talents/Skills/Powers: Power over fire. Talents include wielding an umbrella as a weapon, driving, video games, and random dancing.
Birth Order: Youngest of two.
Family: Typical family. His older brother, however, is polar opposite from him.

Type of childhood: Good
Memories/events that still affects him/her: Being left behind in a large shopping district when he was a child.
Why/How? It left him with a permanent fear of abandonment and desertion.

Why? Rome is able to lead a successful double life.
Biggest disillusions from childhood: Many things--he's a conspiracy theorist and constantly doubts things.

Hair: Dark brown and messy. One side of his bangs are blazing blue, the other side bright silver.

Glasses/Contacts? Wears silver contacts when operating under his alias, Lucky, for the CTA.

Distinguishing features: The streaks in his hair, the fact he totes an umbrella, and the way he acts. He's very eccentric, extroverted, and slightly aggressive.
How does s/he dress: Likes dark blues, navy, and black.
Jewelry: None.
Other accessories: Wears a star-shaped pendant that not only contains his power of fire but also can be used to communicate with his girlfriend, who has one also.
Mannerisms: Eccentric and hyper. He's usually seen "air drumming" to music. Has been known to charge males for looking at his girlfriend "the wrong way," which means at all.
Health: Very well.
Speech Patterns: Uses slang quite a bit, prone to using "video game language," swears occasionally and speaks in quotes.
Voice: Alternates from loud and aggressive to gentle and calm, depending on his mood.
Style (Elegant, shabby, etc): Wild.

Is this character generally dominant or submissive? He likes to think of himself as dominant, but he's actually quite submissive.
Patience level: Low... practically none.
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof? He oftens reacts due to his emotions, which he likes to believe are controlled. However, they control him.
How does the character view life? His opportunity to leave his legacy.
How does the character view death? The ending of the only chance a person has.
Most at ease when: He's with his girlfriend
Ill at ease when: They're separated, even on missions. He suffers paranoia in her regard.
Describe their sense of humor: Sarcastic, slightly perverse, and full of inside jokes.
Character/Personality/Mental/Social Strengths: He seems to know no such thing as shame or humiliation. He's persistent, strong-willed, and is strongly focused when he sets his mind to it. He's very clever.
Character/Personality/Mental/Social Flaws: He believes his emotions are under control, when in actuality they aren't. He is prone to violent bursts of anger and even worse boughts of paranoia when it involves his girlfriend or his "double life."
Biggest Vulnerability (non physical): His double life in the CTA. Being revealed is an instant blacklist.
Optimist or Pessimist: Inbetween.
Introvert or extrovert: Extrovert
Greatest Fear: Losing everything he has. He has a horrible fear of abandonment and being alone.
Other Fears/Insecurities/Phobias: He fears his double life being exposed. He's got an odd phobia of silence, and twitches uncontrollably when it occurs. He is strongly claustrophobic, and it's been known to make him "blank out" mentally and have rare anxiety episodes.
Peculiarities: He "air drums" to music, even when none is playing. His imagination is rampant. His weapon of choice is an umbrella, which he wields as either a bat or a sword, depending on his mood. He's known to be pacified with candy bars.
Biggest regret: Losing out on the top spot in the CTA elite to his girlfriend. However, he feels so proud for her that he doesn't gripe.
Biggest accomplishment: Making the second spot on CTA elite; making the top team in the RMAVL II (Royal Mushroom Academy Video Game League, Upper Class brackets) when he and his teammate were simply freshmen
Minor accomplishments: Taming a Boo to be his pet. He named it Taboo.
Musical talents/instruments: It's rumored that he can play "magic" instruments (instruments played with the player's mind/body). Many believe this is why he's always drumming to himself.
Secret desires: Maybe join a band.
Character's darkest secret: His fear of abandonment.
Minor Secrets: He's actually more shy than he lets other people know of.

Relationship Skills: A little off-kilter. They work well for him, surprisingly.

Rivals: Spiff. Spiff knows more about conspiracy theories and seems to know something about his double life.

How does s/he view other people or society? Everyone leads more lives than they let on.
Is the character judgmental of others and how so? No, but he always wonders what they do in their spare time.

Strangers? A bit off-kilter, eccentric, and peculiar.
Friends? Hyper as hell.
Wife/Husband/Lover? Gentle and naive, even if he acts wild in the presence of others.
What happens to change this perception if at all? When his mood snaps to being angry, people are quick to get out of his way.
What type of people does s/he like or associate with? Gamers, jokers, and slackers.
What type of people doesn’t s/he like or associate with? Anyone who cares anything about "high culture."
What do family/friends like most about character? His undying loyalty and the air of fun that seems to always follow him.
What do family/friends like least about character? His volatile mood-swings. Only Hope seems to be able to calm him.

Why? It's his favorite "weapon." Anyone who's mocked him for it has come to regret it.

Describe character's sense of morals: Slightly skewed. His motto is, "If you don't get caught, it's not breaking the rules."
Describe character's etiquette: He's got good etiquette and manners... he just rarely uses them.
How does this character act in public? However he feels.
How does this character act at home? Same as above.
How has this character most changed from childhood? He's a little more outgoing.
How have they remained the same? He's still adamant he's not as shy as he really is.

How does this character deal with or react to:
Anger: Lets it out however he feels, whether it's swearing up a storm or smashing things with his umbrella.
Sadness: Suppresses it and refuses to let anyone see it. Even Hope rarely views him in such a state.
Conflict/Danger: Takes the lead, provided Hope hasn't done it first. He becomes aggressive.
Fear: Will do everything to deny that he's actually afraid.
Change: Adapts well, but questions it.
Loss: Copes well, but mourns in private.
Homosexuality: Accepts it and tolerates it, as several of his friends have turned out that way.
Pain: Bears it. He has a moderate threshold for pain but has extremely good persistence. It often makes him fight back better.
Stress/Pressure: Seems to squirm under pressure and bit, but handles stress remarkably well.
Guilt: Usually is highly depressed by it and lets it get the better of him.
Being wrong: Calmly informs the person accusing him of it that they are wrong.
Being criticized: Usually retaliates with a humiliating tidbit about the person's life. ("Being a conspiracy theorist has its advantages.")
Praise: Gets a bit arrogant and egotistical. Hope calls these "trips to EgoLand."
Love: Thinks it's the most rewarding feeling a person could experience. It's his favorite emotion/feeling, even if he refuses to own up to it.
Being hated: Shrugs it off. He doesn't care.
Public Humiliation: He retaliates by blackmail. It works very well.

What would the character like to change in his/her life? His paranoia... when he owns up to it.
What motivates this character? His girlfriend
Why? They're each others' own springboard.
What discourages this character? Nothing.
Why? Negative criticism seems to push him harder, while praise lets him know he's doing things right.
What most describes this character's personality? Naive. While he's outgoing, excitable, defensive, and loyal, not only is he naive about a lot of life's aspects, he is naive in his own behaviorisms. He's a lot to learn.

Religion: Modern (though uncertain)
Does the character believe in a god or goddess? He's uncertain.
What are the character's spiritual beliefs? He thinks Star Haven possibly exists, but he isn't quite sure.
Is religion or spirituality a part of this character's life? Yes.
If so, what role does it play? He has his powers due to a Star Spirit's blessing. He doesn't take them for granted. However, despite this, he still questionsthe existance of a Star Haven.
Superstitions: None.

Summary

Chance is a two-edged sword. While he loves to act wild, outgoing, aggressive, and dominant, his true personality is loyal and gentle. He is the owner of a large and caring heart but, at the same time, seems to show a reluctance to let it shine. He's extremely clever, loves to have fun, and would go to the ends of the world for any of his friends. His desire to live a double life in the CTA has split his very soul in two: one side being his gentle and loving side; the other side his wild and spontaneous side. Hope has significantly helped him in molding the two together again, but he will have to do a lot of it on his own. The problem is his own admitting to it.

Family: Her older sister works in a marketplace in Toad Town and seems a bit wild. Her younger sister attends schools in Donut Plains and is gentle-natured but defensive.

Why/How? It was what got her into conspiracies.

Why? No member of the CTA has ever seen him/her in person, and he/she has worked over 100 theories.
Biggest disillusions from childhood: World security. Too many attacks on the kingdom destroyed her sense of it.

Hair: Red, straight, below her shoulders in length. One of her bangs is streaked a bold fuschia. Her hair is usually kept in a ponytail.

Glasses/Contacts? Wears gold contacts when on missions for CTA; normal contacts by day.

Distinguishing features: Her pendant and her ponytail. She has never been seen with her hair down, and even Chance says he's only seen it once.
How does s/he dress: Very casual and tomboyish. She's never been seen wearing a skirt or dress.

Mannerisms: Calculated yet spontaneous. She's either got her nose in book, writing notes, listening to music, or causing some sort of mischief.
Health: Well. She has issues with headaches, though.

Is this character generally dominant or submissive? She varies from dominant to submissive. She is slightly more dominant than she is submissive, but she keeps it suppressed.

How does the character view life? Day-to-day existence.

Biggest accomplishment: Making #1 in CTA elite; being the top team in the RMAVL II, though she chalks it up to her boyfriend.

Character's darkest secret: Her instability. She holds it together well but is quite a mental and emotional mess in private. Unfortunately, Chance is left to deal with it, though he never shows signs of complaints (or of leaving her to deal with it alone).
Minor Secrets: She has a slight "sixth" sense and can channel the moods of other people. She is beginning to teach herself how to "mold" other people's moods at her own whim.

How does s/he view other people or society? People who must earn trust before they are given it.
Is the character judgmental of others and how so? Yes, although she tries not to be. First impressions are important to her.

How is s/he perceived by...
Strangers? Gentle, lost in thought, distant, but good at persuading.
Friends? Overly critical and analytical
Wife/Husband/Lover? A soul who's just too hard on herself. He believes she needs to loosen up and have fun and not panic over every little detail.
What happens to change this perception if at all? When her plans come together, people aren't so quick to call her extremely analytical. However, when she lightens up and has fun, people forget the concept as well.
What type of people does s/he like or associate with? People who are slightly intellectual yet know how to have fun.
What type of people doesn’t s/he like or associate with? Stuck-up and/or ignorant people.
What do family/friends like most about character? Her humor and caring personality... when it shows.
What do family/friends like least about character? Her mind is a bit too strong for most.

How does this character act at home? She tends to like to be left to herself.
How has this character most changed from childhood? She was more outgoing as a child.
How have they remained the same? She is still headstrong.

How does this character deal with or react to:
Anger: Often takes it out on the wrong person, usually her boyfriend
Sadness: Suppresses it until it breaks her down. However, she will refuse to seek help until it's nearly too late.
Conflict/Danger: She's usually the quickest to come up with a plan, though occasionally she's been known to back down and show fear.
Fear: Often lets it overwhelm her. Rarely can she keep it in line, and it often takes another person being afraid or in danger for her to control it.
Change: She shows a dislike in change but adapts well to it.
Loss: Mourns openly and finds a way to show her remembrance on the given date.
Homosexuality: Accepts and tolerates.
Pain: Refuses to show she's hurting until it's unbearable. Her threshold for pain is very high, which oftens gets her in trouble. (Especially with Chance, who hates her stubbornness about asking for help.)

Love: Enjoys it immensely and wouldn't trade it for anything. She openly expresses her love, even though she can occasionally smother a person with it.
Being hated: Doesn't let it bother her, and mutually will hate the person in question.
Public Humiliation: Contacts her boyfriend, who remedies the situation in less than a week.

What motivates this character? Her boyfriend.
Why? They are constantly encouraging each other, and back each other up no matter what the situation (or even if they're wrong).
What discourages this character? Too much criticism.
Why? She believes that if multiple sources say the same thing, it has to be true.
What most describes this character's personality? Critical. She's always looking for answers, always examining things too closely, and observing things for the smallest detail.

Summary

Hope is a girl who has matured far too quickly for her own good. No one is quite sure why she is so bitter and so critical of herself. Beneath her tough and persuasive exterior beats the heart of a girl who wants to love and be loved. She looks for acceptance everywhere, and Chance has been the only person who has been able to show her that she has it. While he spends all of his time trying to show her there's more to life than memorizing every detail in the world around her, he has to struggle with the idea that she has to see it for herself before she'll understand.
