This first edition of Friday Fave goes to someone very special to me. Sadly, I do not live in Sushi-land so I can't trek to the cinemas to catch Ōoku. I shamefully have not caught up with promotions either but it's enough for me to know that Ninomiya Kazunari and Ohkura Tadayoshi are in one movie - of course the big names like Shibasaki Kou, Tamaki

Aside from Nino, I got reeled in by the story and I am now a fan of the manga series.
I really hope the film is successful.

And I'm with you on waiting for the DVD.

Cool. I really just can't get myself to finishing reading manga. I get distracted. Truly, truly hope this film is successful. It has such a big cast I highly doubt it'll flop.

Despite the the mixed reviews regarding Ohoku, I am eagerly anticipating it, too. ♥ I might even buy the DVD!

Whatever they say about it though, I have so many reasons to watch it that I'll hold back judgment over the movie when I've actually seen it 8DDDD the pretty jidaigeki/Tokugawa setting alone already reeled me in |D
