man I want to read a Secret of Kells/How To Train Your Dragon crossover. Seeing as Kells has next to no writers though, I'll probably be the one to do it.
I've never been a huge writer, although I've been trying lately. Been writing some oneshot/drabble things which is way better than just about everything else I've done but still.
I like HTTYD, buuut there are parts that I'd like to fast-forward to and past. Only I don't own a copy of the DVD and probably won't for a while.
My little sister just said "Not a movie, but the movie!" like Brother Aidan. XD
Anyway, I'm not sure how it'd work. I don't want the Vikings of Berk to invade Kells, so I was thinking that the invaders somehow decide to take Aidan and Brendan to be thralls. However...why would they take Aidan? Brendan is small, yeah, but he's worked on the wall and has to at least try to keep up with Aisling, (not to mention fighting a dark god) so he's probably tougher than he looks.
At first I thought "oh hey they could decide that the art in the Book is actually worth something and take him as well. And though his eyes are failing and stuff Brendan can do it and pass it off as Aidan's so he's safe." But these guys sacked Iona and burned everything without mercy--
actually I could change that--like maybe they destroyed a whole bunch of stuff and then took gold things that contained art and to their shock some of it sold for more than the gold
argh but I never wanted to have those Vikings' point of view! Hell there wasn't supposed to be much on their end--it was going to start with Toothless and Hiccup being the only sane ones in Berk by staying inside during a blizzard, then Stoick or someone was going to show up and ask him to take care of them for a bit and they'd bond or something.
