Back From DC

So. Much. To. See. I'll post pics and stuff, and perhaps put together an obnoxious multimedia presentation. To sum up, I took 800 pictures, drank 4.5 gal of water in 4 days, slogged through 95 degree heat and 80% humidity, spent $25 on train and bus fare, and saw about 1 million square miles of marble. funny- i did a similar thing with new shoes in NYC in the rain, but I bought bandaids after about 1/2 a mile...

I actually had bandaids - the shoes rubbed through them, and around them. I should have worn thicker socks, but I couldn't find a place that sold them. Boo.

How was NYC? How's your sister doing?

wow, you need industrial strength bandaids! or thicker socks, right. Sometimes socks don't help in those situations, though.

NYC was really interesting. I would love to go back. It was a bit stressful 'cause I went with my parents, and they are not very mobile. It was fine, but it was just a big deal every time we had to load/unload them into/from a cab, and they would get tired and be done doing something when I was just getting started, and it's really hard to walk really slowly for extended periods... Some great food was eaten, some amazing sights seen, and it was really cool to be "inside" google. They have scooters for riding in the halls, and really cool game rooms, and their cafeteria was utterly amazing!
