Yeah...that was until she tripped on, well, nothing, and completely fell onto the grass. That was hard not to laugh at, but there was something about her that made me want to help and not sit and laugh. I'm not normally a mean spirited guy, so it wasn't that hard to resist. Besides, she's pretty cute.
Hopping to my feet I rushed over and helped her grab some of her books. "That first step's a doozey, huh?" I joked.

God, he probably thinks I'm some huge, spazzy freak. Great. I don't know why I even care though. It's not like he even knows who I am and there's like a zillion people at this school. I'm just one of the nameless, faceless masses, right?
"Uh... thanks for the help." I smiled, getting to my feet. "I'm Dawn."

I helped her grab the last of her stuff then helped her up. "Nice to meet you, Dawn. I'm Connor." I offered my hand for her to shake.
"Let me guess, you're a freshman and you're a little turned around backwards?"
