data collecting with inui 07

May 15, 2009 00:12

π Every week, you will follow Inui as he travels to different schools, collecting data.

π He will ask you a question that is related to that school (i.e. about a character from that school, the tennis club, the school itself, etc).

π Correct answers will get you random cards and/or items from that particular school. If there are no decks from that school yet, then the prizes will be green tennis balls (item01).

π Correct answers to the more difficult questions will get you pink tennis balls (item02).

This week we're at:

Inui says:

Thank you for your assistance last week. If you wish to include this into your own notebook, the professional tennis players Wakato Hiroshi imitated during his match against Kaidoh Kaoru were Lleyton Hewitt, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Goran Ivanisevic, and Gustavo Kuerten.

This week, we're going to try a little experiment. You're going to try and find out how many students attend Rokkaku Middle School. The hint I will give you is that there are between 500 and 750 students, and here are the breakdowns of the rewards:

- Answer is within 100 students (either way) of the correct answer = 1 random Rokkaku card
- Answer is within 50 students (either way) of the correct answer = 2 random Rokkaku cards
- Answer is within 25 students (either way) of the correct answer = 3 random Rokkaku cards
- Correct answer = 3 random Rokkaku cards + 1 pink tennis ball

Clarification: Coming within the correct answer (either way) means, for example: If the correct answer was 500, "within 100 students" would mean you guessed between 400 and 600, "within 50 students" would mean you guessed between 450 and 550, and "within 25 students" would mean you guessed between 475 and 525.

Of course, I just might be underestimating your data collecting skills...

You have until Friday, May 22nd to give me your answers. I have random cards from Rokkaku and pink tennis balls in return for your assistance.

This round is now closed.
THE DATA HAS BEEN COLLECTED.
