i am going to try it too. 2 of my LJ friends tried last year and FAILED but i am a winner so i will read 50 books for sure. it probably also helps i have no job, school or life to interfere though... before i start knocking people... ;)

I read both the A. Burroughs books. Entertaining stuff. Have you read any David Sedaris? I'm STILL trying to finish Kitchen Confidential. It's taking me a long time cause I haven't been reading every day lately. Doggy takes up all my spare time. That's another thing I am glad about regarding going to FCI in the city... I'll have a lot of time to read while I'm on the train.

I know exactly what you mean. I didn't really give up on his books but I skipped thru a lot of it.

I'm doing this also - school's gone a long, long way to getting my list at the level it's at (28 of 50, so far). I might end up not counting duplicates, which would knock... 11 or 12 off that number. Depends how well I do :D

I've never actually read any of the books you've listed so far. If I didn't have so many to read already, I'd ask for a recommendation :D
