There was a whole family on that flight (well apart from the father) who we had been working desperately to try to keep in the country. The mother had been volunteering at a couple NGOs and was about to complete a two-year Community Development course. The oldest son finished second in his year in college. All of the kids played football and camogie. Totally integrated. Local councillors, priests, everybody was trying to keep them in the country. They'd been told they'd be deported in April.
All the fucking scumbags running around this country, and we force a family like this out.
