Here's a story that just sort of popped out as the result of a chat with Ravyn - between two of our boys who never quite cooperate or do anything that we expect. Victor is one of Bell's cousins, another of the pantera boys, and Bat is Ravyn's boy, who is a fallen angel. And because Ravyn never got a story for Cindy's Ficathon, this is for her -

Hi Meri! *huggles and smooches* I've missed you too - things have been very weird and busy, and I haven't been able to walk for about a week. Perhaps now that my political activism attempts have totally failed, due to extreme stupidity on the part of about 55 million people, I'll be on lj and online more often. Although I may have to join a march on Washington in my wheelchair - who knows?

Glad you liked this - although I see a few things I need to edit. Not surprising since it is almost 4 am here and I'm tire, in pain and on drugs. *hugs* *Bell and Vance wave to Ronan and Brody* I'll be online tomorrow - need sleeeeeeeeep now! *squeezy hugs!*

Political activism on my part extended to making a bunch of phone calls to get people to vote, and writing a bunch of e-mails and letters. That didn't put me in the wheelchair. Actually, I have no idea what I did to cause the severe tendonitis in my foot and ankle. I woke up one morning a week and a half ago and couldn't stand on it at all. The doctor called it "tibialis posterior tendon dysfunction" and said it's not uncommon in people who have nerve damage in their legs and feet like I do. Sounds like there isn't much they can do about it, except surgery if it doesn't get better in a few weeks. The really bad thing is that it's throwing my back into worse spasms, which sucks.

As for marching on Washington - I think the world should be marching on Washington at this point! Very sad state of affairs.

Glad you like! This is just sort of a little teaser snippet, since Ravyn and I haven't got around to writing the full story yet. I wasn't sure it would make much sense to anyone but Ravyn, who knows all the background (even I don't know all of Bat's background, since he's Ravyn's boy - and a very complex one at that). So I'm glad it worked.

Hell, even I don't know all his background. Bat doesn't tell me a lot, you know that and when he does he's confuzzling.

a little naive, isn't he? someone hasn't been to church. ;) altho i'm assuming that heaven doesn't actually object to bat being with a male human, or otherwise his wings wouldn't be turning white again to begin with? so it's prolly more to do with that they'll have him recalled or something?

Hi there! Ravyn's responsible for the "Fuzzbutt" and "Tuna-breath" nicknames - those are only examples of what Ravyn's boy, Bat, calls poor Victor in chat. Of course, Victor has his own set of nicknames for Bat - like "birdie", "buzzard" and "featherduster". They're fun boys. I almost snorted my Snapple when Bat first called Victor "Fuzzbutt" in chat.

Because this is just a snippet primarily intended as a little moving gift for Ravyn, the background might not make much sense to everyone else. Victor has come to know that Bat's "Heaven" bears little resemblance to the Christian "Heaven". So no, Heaven doesn't really have an issue with Bat being with a male pantera for any of the traditional religious reasons.

Ravyn will probably (I hope) write Bat's background at some point. He's a fascinating and complex muse.

And yes, I'm hoping to continue the pantera stories, too.
