Once again, I'm trying Nanowrimo. (see www.nanowrimo.org) I'm going for 50000 words, but I don't guarantee that all of those words will be part of the same story arc. We shall see. My arthritic spine and four herniated disks are already feeling the effects of the colder weather,

I know where you're coming from with the elderly dogs. *sigh* Both Daphne & Katie had major kidney problems before we had to put them down. Thank you so much for the pics you took of Daphne when you were down for our mini-convention a few years ago! They're among my favorites of her. Next time we get multiple critters, they're going to be nowhere near the same age!! Zelda's having kidney problems as well, but we're keeping them under control for the moment. *sigh*

As for insurance, I'm really lucky to be covered under Russ' plan at his job. Not that I use it that much, except for allergy meds & the occasional back spasms. The last time I went in for the latter, they just gave me a 30 day supply of flexeril. lol I still have a few of them left (script was filled in December of last year). The doc now has me on two allergy meds - Zyrtec & an intra-nasal steroid called Nasarel. The combination seems to be helping.

Val! *huggles* So nice to hear from you! I haven't posted for ages, with all my and Michael's medical and depression problems. I'm going to do my best to keep posting regularly.

I can't believe you're chicken to try Nano after writing a whole book! I bet you could do it - and it would be good too.

I'm so sorry Daphne's gone - she was such a sweetie. I'm glad you liked those pictures of her - she was so cute. I'm glad Zelda's kidneys are hanging in there for now. I know what you mean about multiple critters not being the same age. I'm afraid we've screwed that up, since our dogs are now 14 and 15, and the two sets of cats are siblings. (2 are 1 year old and 2 are 3.5 years old)

Zyrtec is the only allergy medicine that seems to work for me. I wish Flexeril would work for my back spasms, but so far nothing has worked except killing off the muscles with botox, and that only works for about 3 months - if it works.
